Here is a listing of small grant opportunities for service-learning projects and resources for effective implementation.

Constitutional Rights Foundation
Constitutional Rights Foundation's Robinson Mini-Grant Program honors the late Maurice R. ("Robbie") Robinson, founder of Scholastic, Inc., champion of innovative education, and longtime supporter of effective citizenship education. Each year, thanks to a generous grant from The Maurice R. Robinson Fund of New York City, CRF awards mini-grants of up to $500 for K-12 service-learning projects designed to address serious community issues. Each of these superb projects addresses a larger social need. Some of these needs fall under the category of poverty, hunger, environment, mentoring children and youth, crime and safety issues, and aging. Students will develop problem-solving skills which they can use later in life. They will also learn citizenship skills by practicing them. The skills the students gain from doing these projects will not only help their community but also help them in their life as a citizen of a democratic society.
The NEA Foundation for the Improvement of Education
Overview: The mission of The NEA Foundation is to ensure that all students succeed. The foundationąs grants provide opportunities for teachers, education support professionals, and higher education faculty and staff to engage in high-quality professional development and lead their colleagues in professional growth. Grants also fund project-based learning and break-the-mold innovations that significantly improve achievement for underserved students.
How to Build a Successful Mentoring Program Using the Elements of Effective Practice
This is the online version of the "How to Build a Successful Mentoring Program Using the Elements of Effective Practice", the latest and perhaps most important work in years to advance quality mentoring. This comprehensive tool kit includes tools, templates and advice for implementing and adhering to the second edition of the Elements of Effective Practice--rigorous guidelines that, when followed, will help to ensure quality mentoring. Whether you are new to mentoring or an old hand, this tool kit will save you time and effort, because it contains materials and information you need to start or maintain a quality mentoring program. The tool kit is written to follow the format of the Elements--but it allows you to take portions of the tool kit in a different order, depending on where you are in starting or strengthening your mentoring program.
The Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education Grant Program
The Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education Grant Program gives small monetary grants to schools, nature centers, or other non-profit educational organizations for the purpose of establishing outdoor learning centers. The grant recipient learning centers are those which most successfully reflect the Wild Ones mission to educate and share information about the benefits of using native plants in our landscape and to promote biodiversity and environmentally sound environmentally sound practices. Only through this knowledge, can we appreciate humankind's proper place in the web of life. The grant program provides cash awards primarily for child-centered projects that create native plant landscapes or develop outdoor classrooms, but over the years we have also awarded grants to nature centers, parks and universities.
